Personnel Changes at the Ward Center for Nuclear Sciences
Dear Commission:
Over the past several months, several personnel changes have occurred within the Ward Center for Nuclear Sciences (WCNS) administrative and staffing structure. WCNS is the administrative unit responsible for the oversight and operation of the two NRC licensed nuclear reactors that are owned by Cornell University.
1.
Dr. Kenan Onlii became the new Director of the Ward Center for Nuclear Sciences on July 1, 1998.
2.
Mr. Howard Aderhold retired as Director effective 6/30/98, and was appointed as Associate Director beginning July 1,1998.

Dr. William Richardson is the newly appointed Vice Provost for Research, effective July 1, 1998. He replaces Dr. Norman Scott, the former Vice President for Research and Advanced Studies,in a reorganization of the University's administraiive structure. This change in the upper levels of the University's administration is discussed in a separate letter to the Commission.

Mr. Samuel DiPasquale lef t the employ of the WNCS on June 19,1998. Mr. DiPasquale held a Senior Reactor Operator's License for the Cornell TRIGA Reactor (SOP-70140; Docket # 55-l 70094). We hearby request that this license be terminated effective immediately.

Mr. Martin Moravek was hired as a new staff member on 7/6/98. He is currently in training to apply for a Reactor Operator's license for the Cornell TRIGA Reactor.
