Application for approval of the Wesflexm Storage System under the provisions of 10CFR72 was made in the Reference 2 letter. Specifically, application for approval under the general license provisions of Subpart K is sought.
&f'f This letter transmits Revision I changes to the Wesfiex Storage System SAR. This revision incorporates the changes noted in the enclosures to Reference 3.
In accordance with 10CFR72.16(c), enclosed are 15 copies each of the revised pages for both the Proprietary and Non-Proprietary Revision 1 of document WSNF-200,"Wesflex Storage System Safety Analysis Report."

The Proprietary copies of the report contain information that is considered proprietary to Westinghouse. The Application for Withholding (Reference 4) and affidavit (Reference 5) previously submitted in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR2.790 requesting that proprietary versions not be disclosed to the public are still applicable to this document, including SAR Revision 0 pages dated February 1998 and Revision 1 pages dated August 1998. A non-proprietary version of the report is included with this submittal. None of the information being requested to be held as proprietary was developed while under contract from a government sponsor.
All design work and future fabrication, assembly, testing, maintenance, repair, modification and use of the package are performed under the Westinghouse Energy Systems Quality Management System, which has been approved by NRC under Docket No. 71-0708.

..o Proprietary Information Notice Transmitted herewith are proprietary and/or non-proprietary versions of documents furnished to the NRC in connection with requests for generic and/or piant-specific review and approval.
In order to conform to the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations concerning the protection of proprietary information so submitted to the NRC, the information which is proprietary in the proprietary versions is contained within brackets, and where the proprietary information has been deleted in the non-proprietary versions, only the brackets remain (the information that was contained within the brackets in the proprietary versions has been deleted). The justification for claiming the ir'armation so designated as proprietary is indicated in both versions by means of lower case letters ((a) through (f) contained within parentheses located as a superscript immediately following the brackets enclosing each item of information being identified as proprietary or in the margin opposite such information. These lower case letters refer to the types of information Westinghouse customarily holds in confidence identified in Sections (4)(ii)(a) through (f) of the affidavit referenced in this transmittal pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(b)(1).
