THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE NUCLEAR DECOMMISSIONING FINANCING COMMITTEE DOCKET NO. 98-1 ORDER OF NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Nuclear Decommissioning Financing Committee (NDFC), established pursuant to RSA 162-F:15 shall, in accordance with the provisions of RSA 162-F, and RSA 541-A et seq., hold hearings to receive testimony and information on the 1998 Annual Decommisioning Update of North Atlantic Energy Service Corporati on for Seabrook Station, commencing on Monday, September 28,1998 in Room 307 of the Legislative Office Building,33 North State Street, Concord, New Hampshire, from 9:00. A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or earlier, when testimony is concluded. -

Thereafter, hearings will be held on Tuesday, September 29,1998, Wednesday, September 30,1998, Thursday, October 1,1998 and Friday, October 2,1998 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or earlier, when testimony is concluded.

The purpose of the hearings shall be to take testimony regarding the proposed plan for updating the Nuclear Decommissioning Financing Fund and the Schedule of Payments into the Fund, in order for the Committee to formalize the updated payment schedule plan as 'rendre9 ty abitute,'n 16M:22, II (5) an3 n 162-e:21, IV.

The propsed plan for updating the fund and schedule of payments was filed by North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation in March,1998.

North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation shall give notice of these hearings by causing a copy of this notice to be published at least twice in a newspaper having general circulation in that portion of the State in which operations are conducted and a newspaper having state-wide circulation, the last such publication to be not later than September 14, 1998, said publication to be designated in an affidavit to be made on a copy of this notice and filed with this Committee on or before September 25,1998.

North Atlantic Service Corporation shall also post a copy of this notice of the time and place of the hearings at two appropriate places in Seabrook, New Hampshire. North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation shall further notify all parties on the Service List, the Attorney General's Office, the Public Utilities Commission and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Agency and all Joint Owners by sending a copy of this notice to each of them.
