Dear Dr. Grace:

SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 - NRC-OIE REGION II INSPECTION REPORT 50-327/85-49 AND 50-328/85-49 Please refer to my letter to you dated March 7, 1986, which provided our response to IE Inspection Report 85-49 for our Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. As discussed with S. P. Weise of your staff during a telephone conversation on April 9, 1986, we commit to provide you with a supplemental response to the subject report by May 9, 1986.

Results of our survey of seismic supports will be evaluated for root cause determination of the examples pointed out in the subject Notice of Violation.

Once a root cause is established, samples or surveys will be conducted as appropriate to determine the extent of the problem.
