Update on Petition for Rulemaking 50-103

Dear Mr. Fettus,

This e-mail provides an update to your petition for rulemaking (PRM) which requested that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) amend its regulations related to combustible gas control (PRM-50-103). The notice of receipt for your petition was published in the Federal Register on January 5, 2012 (77 FR 441). As noted in the notice of receipt, the NRC deferred review of the petition until the recommendations related to the Fukushima Task Force Report were complete. As noted in previous updates on your petition submittal, this action has been completed. The NRC is currently evaluating the issues raised in your petition.

You can monitor the docket for your petition on the Federal rulemaking Web site, http://www.regulations.gov, by searching on Docket ID NRC-2011-0189.
