Dear Sirs:
Solely as Trustee for the Cimarron Environmental Response Trust (CERT), Environmental Properties Management LLC (EPM) submits herein a report entitled Phase I Cultural Resources Survey of the Cimarron Environmental Response Trust Property, Logan County, Oklahoma.
The survey identified three historic buildings (the mixed oxides building, the former warehouse, and the existing CERT office), one structure (a water tower located north of the mixed oxides facility), three historic diesel pumping stations (located near the Cimarron River), and one standing historic structure (the remnants of a corral and cart). The three buildings and the three diesel pumping stations may be eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
EPM will submit a revised version of Section 5 of Facility Decommissioning Plan - Rev 1 (the DP), Environmental Information. Revision will include a summary description of the work performed and the conclusions reached. This report will be incorporated into a revised version of Appendix E to the DP, Cultural and Historical Resources.
Ms. Kary Stackelbeck, et. al.
July 14, 2020 Page 2 It is our understanding that this report, and the revised portions of DP, represent the last submittals which the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission needs to complete the detailed technical review of the DP.
Different portions of the cultural resources survey were performed under the supervision of different personnel. Consequently, should you have comments or questions regarding the content of this report, please route them through me, and I will direct them to the appropriate person.
Sincerely, Jeff Lux, P.E.
