DOCKET NUMBER Do 56 PROPOSED RULE rn (G 3 FA IWS)

((c32 if54W 18 JWi 23 P8 38 f0h ;&n ah 2J'r*

n u 4"t-v BRANcn June 22, 1988 Secretary of the Commission Attnt Docketing and Service Branch U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555

Dear Sirs:

As a resident of Amesbury, MA. I naturally was very inter-ested in the New Hampshire Yankee proposal to evacuate the six Mass, towns located in the Seabrook Station EPZ. Unlike the town of ficials involved, I chose not to hide my head in the sand. I chose to participate in the Evacuation Plan to learn as much as possible about the proposed courses of

action, i feel this is the best way to keep myself abreast of the changes in regulations af f ecting nuclear power today.

One of the most recent changes is the "Clarification of Emergency Planning Requirements for Low Power Testing".

This letter is to voice my support for the Low Power Testing of Seabrook Station. They have time and time again gone the extra distance to ensure their plant is the safest ever built. This is evident in the "double" Containment Building, the redundant safety systems and the role they play in the Evacuation Plan. This type of dedication to quality and safety has been persecuted long enough. It's time to get Seabrook on line.
