North Reading, MA 01864 June 22,1988 Secretary of the Commission Attn:

Docketing and Service Branch US NRC Washington DC 20555

Dear Sir:

Regarding the proposed rulemaking concerning 55 testing for the Seabrook Power Plant without off-site emergency sirens in Massachusetts, I support the rule-

taking and requee'. it be issued iacediately. Obviously, the time for the NRC to make a decision that is both correct anc good for both Seabrook and the whole industry is now.

I am confident the NRC will make the right choice and not allow the Massachusetts political climate to sway their opinion as seems to be the casa in the past.
