Dear Mr. Linehan:

The enclosed " Program Manager's Periodic Report"(PMPR) documents the progress and financial status of the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses for the period April 10-May 7,1999. Its contents comply with the requirements of section F.1.5 of the referenced contract. A diskette containing the PMPR in Wordperfect 8 format is also enclosed.

Cost variance analyses are provided for the Division of Waste Management (D1035). Tank Waste Remediation System (J5164), Three Mile Island Unit 2 Independent Spent Fuel Storage Instaliation (J5186), Dry Transfer System (J5206), Centralized Interim Storage Facility (D1035), Private Fuel Storage Facility (J5226), and j

Savannah River Site Aluminum-Based Spent Fuel (J5210) Job Codes, as well as for composite spending on this contract. All variances are expressed with regard to the current operations plans.

During period 8, six intermediate milestones were introduced and four schedule changes were made as reflected in table 2. Five deliverables were transmitted as indicated in table 3.
