Attn Docketing and Service Branch U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.

Dear Sirs:

I write to voice my support for the proposed rule clarification concerning the low-power testing issue for Seabrook Station.

I personally feel that it's about time that action such as this were initiated.

I can only hope that the intent of this action is seen through to the end with positive results.

I'm sure that it is obvious to the Commission, as it is to the utility workers involved with the project, that Seabrook Station has been constructed in such a way as to surpass the "minimum" requirements for safety. To re-iterate my comments of a previous letter to your branch, I am amazed, as wel' as frightened, that a few misguided politicians have been able to have su' an impact on the status quo and future of our countries nuclear power 1r.,

.y.

I for one, as well as others, would be elated to see the Commission cut through the matrix of political delay tactics which have been employed to prevent the licensing of Seabrook Station.

New England needs the power as you are well aware.

It would seem to me that our Federal govern c would have great concern with this issue due to the strategic military 11ations in this region, not to mention concerns about the import of fore

. sources on which we have been so dependant.

I continue to believe.n the system and that you will ultimately assist in resolving this political issue for the good of the country as a whole. Please do not let me down!

Sincerely, Rick White l
