Dear Mr, Morey: This refers to the inspection conducted on January 10 through February 20,1999 at the Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP). The enclosed integrated report presents the results of that inspection. During the inspection period, your conduct of activities at FNP was generally characterized by - safety-conscious operations, sound engineering and maintenance practices, and careful radiological work controls. Based on the results of this inspection, the NRC has determined that one violation of NRC requirements occurred. The violation is being treated as a Non-Cited Violation (NCV), consistent with Appendix C of the Enforcement Policy. The NCV is described in the subject j inspection report. If you contest the violation or severity level of the NCV, you should provide a response within 30 days of the date of this inspection report, with the basis for your denial, to the - Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN: Document Control Desk, Washington DC 20555-0001, with a copies to the Regional Administrator, Region ll, and the Director, Office of Enforcement, _ United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001.
