Dear Ms.- Jackson:

I am a resident of East Hampton and I am very concemed with Millstone Nuclear power plant. East Hampton is about fifteen miles away from the power plant. That is too far to have an evacuation plan but close enough for the nuclear waste to reach us. So I think we should have an evacuation. They set an evacuation plan up for places from one to ten miles away. I believe they~should have an evacuation plan at least twenty miles from the plant. The nuclear waste from the plant can go further than 20 miles away. But the radiation can reach up to 50 and plus miles. When a power plants leak or explodes it is hazardous to almost everyone on the planet. When it enters the air it is carried every where. The millstone plant has been shut down 5 times in a six month time period. The most common was the valves getting stuck and not shutting or opening. The valves were also leaking so the inspectors shut the plant down numerous times. In conclusion I believe the millstone Nuclear power plant should u be shut down very soon! Ifit can not be shut down we should at least. have an' evacuation that works well. Also while they are in the process of shutting it down we should have an escape rout for an emergency. Sincerely, AAr ah e Alison Hanson .}}
