INSPECTION NO. 070-03061/98-001
Dear Mr. Binetti:
On November 16,1998, Betsy Ullrich of this office conducted a safety inspection at the above address of activities authorized by the above listed NRC license. The inspection was an examination of your licensed activities as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's regulations and the license conditions. The inspection consisted of observations by the inspector, interviews with personnel, and a selected examination of representative records. The findings of the inspection were discussed with Thomas Mike of your organization at the conclusion of the inspection.
l Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
During the inspection, the actions taken to correct two violations identified during Inspection No.97-001 were reviewed. We have no further questions concerning the first violation, failure to evaluate the doses to workers and to the public from your activities at this time. Our review of the second violation, failure to review the radiation protection program content and i
i implementation at least annually, remains open. Although an audit was performed in 1997, and the 1998 review is planned for November 30,1998, insufficient time has passed to demonstrate lasting implementation of your corrective actions for this violation. Your corrective actions for this violation will be reviewed during the next inspection of your licensed activities.
