Subject:
Change in Vermont Yankee's Schedule for Submittal of improved Technical Specifications Reference (b) stated that Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation intended to submit an amendment request to convert the existing Technical Specifications to improved Standard Technical Specifications (ITS) in September,1997. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we have rescheduled this submittal to the fourth quarter of 1998.
Although our ITS development has proceeded on schedule, other work including Design Basis Document Development, Instrument Setpoint and FSAR Reviews has caused us to reassess our priorities. We now believe that Design Basis, instrument Setpoint and FSAR Reviews should be completed in advance of ITS so that the ITS submittal can benefit from these efforts.
With this letter Vermont Yankee makes the following commitment:
