I am a resident of Seabrook, New Hampshire.
In the past few years, I have watched Seabrook Station trying to work very hard with all the local communities around the site.
I understand that anyone who has had questions or needed help in learning about the site was a least sent information to try and help them understand their respective problems.
On the other side, I've watched people like Governor Dukakis use the Seabrook Power Plant for what I think is Political Purposes.
In the process of fighting the S i',e in the name of Safety, he has sat by and let the towns in his state remove sirens which could be used by the local authorities for any emergencies.
This seems to be in direct conflict with what I would think a Governor should do.
I often wonder if getting his name in the paper is more important than the safety of the people in his state.
clease allow for the rule making change to allow the plant to operate at low power without the sirens in place.
If this is done, then maybe the plant will be allowed to operate a little sooner and my electric rates will not reflect that Dukakis is running for President.
Please do what you can to allow the Plant to operate.
I personally would not like that plant to be run on coal or oil.
I think that would bt much worse than the Nuclear Plant.
Sincerely, fL
