Docketing and Service Branch U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555

Dear Secretary:

I am writing to you today regarding your new rule proposal making it unnecessary for off-site emergency sirens to be in place before low power testing is conducted by new nuclear power plants.

Since the public will be not be exposed to any danger I am in full agreement with your proposal.

I am a New Englander and very concerned about our future energy supply. Your rule change gives me overdue assurance that the Seabrook plant will be operational in the very near future.

Sincerely,

[. /d
