00CKEh'.o 4 Si niu BRAMH June 22, 1988 Secretary of the Commission Attention: Docketing and Service Branch United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 Gentleme n:
This letter is for addition to the public comment file on the proposed rule change on emergency planning requirements for low power testing.
As a resident of New England, I am very much interested in the need to permit Seabrook Station to operate.
I feel the legitimacy of the plant's construction and safety programs should entitle the utilities the opportunity to supplement the undersized region power supply.
l As an engineer with knowledge in the technical requirements of safe power plant operations, I am deeply concerned with the continued obstructionist tactics utilized by plant opponents.
I appreciate the sound Commission action thus far in lightening the regulatory burden, and urge this recent proposal's adoption.
Sincerely, gtsf David J. McGon gle, Jr.
