DOCKET HUMBER PROPOSED RULE {,Sp h'ni. :i r M/yggl '

J hNW June 22, 1988 32

'88 JN 23 P1 :54 Secretary of the t'hebion f.'.0CKEI'in 4 ' ' El U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Omnission Washington, D.C.

20555 BRANC" Attn: Docketing and Service Branch Gentlemen, I am writirg to offer my support for the rule change to clarify the emergency planning requirements for low power licensing. As a custctner of Public Service Capany of New Hampshire I am concerned about the cx2npany's ability to continue providiry reliable electric service for my family and New England in general. I encourage the use of nuclear power as I strorgly believe it is the safest and most reliable source of electricity.

It is unfortunate that a few politically motivated individuals have the power to keep New Dyland frtrn obtaining the power it needs to continue its growth and prosperity.

hhen this abuse of political pcar goes as far as to cause the financial instability of electric utilities it has gone too far.

I know Seabrook Station is the safest nuclear plant ever conrtructed, and I therefore urge the NRC to pirsue the rest expeditious wate to the operation of the plant.

Very truly yours, l
