The purpose of this modification is to revise the scope of work by adding two -(2) tasks as described in the attached "Modification to Statement of Work" and extend the contract period of perfomance, all at no additional cost or obligation to the Government.

Now, therefore, the following changes are hereby made:

The contractor's proposal dated December 31,1987 (exclusive of the cost proposal) for perfomance of additional tasks as described in the attached "Modification to Statement of Work", is hereby accepted and made a part of the contract by reference.

Scientech shall review and suggest appropriate revision to a draft Commission Paper on regulatory options which will be provided the contractor upon execution of the contract modification.

The review shall be completed not later than February 12, 1988.

Task 2.

Scientech shall participate in developing a tentative proposed license renewal policy by drafting a "white paper" suggesting the elements of a policy, participating in discussions with NRC staff and other contractors aimed at synthesizing various proposals, and by critiquing the final tentative policy statement which will be drafted by another contractor.

This task shall be completed by March 21, 1988.
