In my le :ter of May 16, 1988 I assured you that the Commission would keep you informed on the status of the investigation pertaining to the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant.

l The Office of Investigations (01) has reviewed all information developed during the investigation of allegations and has concluded that no additional field work is required.

A Report of Investigation outlining Ol's findings is expected to be issued in January 1989.

We will inform you of the results of that investigation when O! issues its report.
