this afternoen.

8 MR. CHILK: The item. Mr. Chairman, is SECY 08-291A.
9 entitled Shoreham Exercise Hearing.
In this paper the Commission is 10 being asked to act on an order addressing the future course of the gg proceeding on the 1988 emergency planning exercise for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station.
Chairman Zech and Commissioners Roberts. Carr at.d Rogets 13 have approved an order which is attached to our ucmora*dum of 14 November the 29th which would establish expedited procedures under 15 which the hearing veuld conclude in approximately five contha with 16 a decision in approximately seven conths.
Commissioner Curtiss 17 did r.ot participate in this matter.
I 18 This crder also notes that although the Conmission has under 19 review the OL-3 Board's dismissal of the intervenors in LBP-88-24 t
the Commiesion believes it is prudent to establish procedures and 20 I
go forward with any necessary proceedings on the 1988 exercise, at least pending the Commission decision on its review of LBP-88-24.
