Docket 50-186 University of liissouri SUBJ ECT: Technical Specification change request pursuant to 10 CFR 50.59(c) and 10 CFR 50.90.

The University of fiissouri Research Reactor requests the following change to Technical Specification 6.1.e. This Technical Specificatior, now reads (as of October 20, 1988; Amendment 16):

6.1.e. Any additions, modifications or maintenance to the systems described in these specifications shall be made and tested in accordance with specifications approved by the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission.

We request Technical Specification 6.1.e to be revised to read:

6.1.e. Any additions, modifications or maintenance to the systems described in these specifications shall be made and tested in accordance with specifications to which the system was originally designed and fabricated or to specifications approved by the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The University of Missouri Research Reactor requested a Technical Specifi-cation change to 6.1.e in a lettar dated November 22, 1985. The requested change should have been the same as that requested above, since the only intent as stated in the 1985 submittal was to correct the AEC reference to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Instead, the Technical Spr c'fic .t. ion 5.1.e submit $.ed November 22, 1985 mistakenly ommitted the phrase ' N which the' cystem was originally designed and fabricated or to specificaticos."

This change to our Techni-cal Specification is made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.59(c) and 10 CFR 50.90. We appreciate your consideration of this matter and apologize for any inconvenience our error may have caused you.
