. Michelle, This is in response to your voice mail.
We have an application from Nycomed Amersham for a source registration certificate. We are in the process of reviewing the application. We are talking with the applicant, Mark Doruff, about timing. We have indicated that we would either 1) expedite the application, or 2) would send a letter indicating the license will be issued based on the IL registration until our review is complete. We will be talking with Mark Doruff about the application this week. We'll call you and let you know what we find out from Amersham.
The application is assigned to Ujagar Bachu. You can call him if you hav9 any questions.

Dear Mr. Bhachu:
As discussed during the telephone conversation earlier today with Mr. John 1.ubinski and yourself, Nycomed Amersham has submitted a request on October 28,1998, to obtain NRC registration of model CDC.Tl scaled sources, currently registered by the lilinois Department of Nuclear Salcty (IDNS), to enable distribution of these sources from the Nycomed Amersham radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
In response to this letter, you sent us a letter dated January 19,1999, which requested additional information in support of our application for registration. As we also discussed today, we are preparing a response to your request to additional infonnation that will enable the completion of review, in the meantime, you have indicated that we can distribute these sources from South Plainfield, New Jersey, in accordance with the registration issued by 1DNS. In the interim, Nycomed Amersham agrees to abide by all conditions committed to in the letters in support of the IDNS registration and the provisions of the registration certificate issued by IDNS. Further, Nycomed Amersham will provide the additional information requested in your letter of January 19,1999,by February 19,1999.
We appreciate your understanding of our need to continue to provide these sources to our customers and your cooperation in providing this interim agreement. If you have any questions or require any W62?CMO Q
