SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF THE SEPTEMBER 28 TO OCTOBER 1,1998, PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT PROCESS IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC WORKSHOP A four day public workshop was held from September 28 to October 1,1998, by the NRC to solicit feedback from the industry and public on the development of improvements to the regulatory oversight processes for commercial nuclear power plants. The results of the workshop are provided as attachment 1. A list of workshop attendees is provided as attachment 2 and the background material used during the workshop is provided as attachment 3.
The results of the workshop as described in attachment 1 will be used by the NRC in the continued development of improvements to the regulatory oversight processes.
