Dear Sir:
This is in response to your letter dated July 31, 1987, to me.
I have enclosed a paper en the status of dry spent fuel storage licensing, on storage cask design approvals, and rulemaking. We are now completing safety reviews of Nuclear Assurance Corporation and Westinghouse Electric Corporation topical reports on storage cask designs.
I have also enclosed two draft regulatory guides which will be issued in final form later this year.
