Code of Federal Regulations, part 50.55a, paragraph g (Inservice Inspection Reports) requires the submittal of a summary Inservice Inspec-tion Report per the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and pressure Vossel Code,Section II examinations, tests, replacements and repairs conducted since the preceding su mary report.

The summary report is to be submitted within 90 days of the completion of the Inservice Inspection conducted during the refueling outage.

On October 14, 1988, portland General Electric (pCE) reported that the Inservice Inspection Sumary Report for the Trojac Nuclear plant would be late due to a delay in completing the Owners Report for Inservice Inspections (NIS-1 Forms), and owners Report for Repair and Replacements (NIS-2 Forms).

In addition, pCE reported that an action plan had been developed to support completion of the foms by November 30, 1988 provided the Authorised Nuclear Inservice Inspector (ANII) concerns could be resolved.

Attached is the Trojan Nuclear plant Inservice Inspection Sumary Report for the period of August 10, 1987 to July 8, 1988. The report consists of a four-volume sot which includes the Inservice Inspection Report (NIS-1 Forms) and the Repair and Replacement Report (NIS-2 Foms).

Approximately 40 percent of the NIS-2 Foms that are scheduled to be submitted have been completed by pCE and accepted by the ANII.

The remaining NIS-2 Foms are scheduled to be submitted to the ANII for acceptance by December 23, 1988.
