The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed your letter of September 18, 1998, and its attachments concerning the changes that have been made to the Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC) Charter and supporting procedures.
My staff did not identify any concems as a result of its review, and notes that the NRC staff comments made to the NIAC steering committee during the January 6,1998, meeting were satisfactorily addressed.
