The purpose of this modification is to: (1) exercise the first 6-month period under Option Year Four of the Contract for CLIN's 09 and 10 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Clause 52.217-9, entitled, " Option to Extend the Term of the Contract," and Subsection 1.4, entitled,
" Duration of Contract Period,"(2) increase the estimated amount of the contract by l
$143,949.07 from $1,344,344.08 to $1,488,293.15 (3) obligate FY 99 funds in the amount of
$141,585.87, thereby increasing the obligated amount of the contract from $1,331,129.48 to
$1,472,715.35 (4) extend the contract period of performance through December 12,1999, i
and (5) change the Project Officer from Nancy J. Hobbes to Benjamin W. Randall.
Accordingly, the contract is hereby modified as follows:

Subsection B.4, Consideration and Obligation - Delivery Orders is deleted in its entirety and substituted in lieu thereof the following:
" CONSIDERATION AND OBLIGATION - DELIVERY ORDERS (JUN 1988) CLINS O2,04,06,08,08A, AND 10 (a)
The total estimated amount of this contract (ceiling) for the products / services ordered, delivered, and accepted under CLINS 02, 04, 06, 08, 08A and 10 of this contract is $19,681.98. The Contracting Officer may unilaterally increase this amount as necessary for orders to be placed with the contractor during the contract period provided such orders are within any maximum crdering limitation prescribed under this contract.
(b)
The amount presently obligated with respect to this contrcet for CLINS 02,04, 06,08 08A and 10 is $4,104.18. The Contracting Officer issue orders for work up to the amount presently obligated. This obligated amount may be unilaterally increased from time to time by the Contracting Officer by written modification to tnis contract. The Obligated amount shall, at no time; exceed the contract ceiling as specified in paragraph a above. When and if the amount (s) paid and payable to the Contractor hereunder shall equal the obligated amount, the Contractor shall not be obligated to continue performance of the work unless and until the Contracting Officer shall increase the amount obligated with respect to this contract. Any work undertaken by the Contractor in excess of the
. obligated amount specified above is done so at the Contractor's sole risk."
