Dear Mr. Zech,

At its meeting of Occober 11, the Board of Selectmen discussed i

the planned reopening of the Pilgrim nuclear power station.

The Board is concerned that the lack of a viable evacuation plan causes an unacceptable risk to the safety of the citizens of Chatham.

The Board urges that the plant not te reopened until such a plan has been devised and approved.

In addition, r

the licenses for the plant should be withheld until all dif f erences at the plant have been corrected.
