LFE MODEL SS-7A NUCLEAR GAUGE
Dear Mr. Wing:
Our records indicate that Universal Coatings received an LFE Model SS-7A (Serial No.123) nuclear gauge containing krypton-85 by authority of a generallicense in March 1984 (reference 10 CFR 31.5). Please review your records to determine if the device was transferred from your facility. If the device was not transferred from your facility, please report that to us. If a transfer occurred, please provide the details of the transfer including: (1) the transfence's name, address and phone number, and (2) the date of transfer. Your report should be mailed to me at the Region til office, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission,801 Warrenville Road, Lisle, Illinois 60532.
We made several attempts to contact you at (612) 435-2951, but there was no answer.
Therefore, please provide a daytime telephone number where you can be reached.
