REQUEST FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE GRAYSTAR APPLICATION REVIEW

Dear Mr. Hamiter:

The. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), Division of Industrial and Medical Nuclear Safety (IMNS) has received an application from GrayStar Corporation to approve a unique design concept for a large capacity dry irradiator. Because of the complexity of the technical issues, IMNS will assemble a

= multidisciplinary team of specialists.with different expertise to conduct the review and approval-.
