6/88 RESPONSE TO APRIL MONTHLY Robert M. Cranwell Waste Management Systems Division 6416 Sandia National Laboratories Albuquerque, New Mexico 87185
Dear Mr. Cranwell:
I have received the April 1988 monthly letter status report for FIN No. A1763 entitled, "Evaluation, Verification, and Documentation of the IMPACTS-BRC Computer Code." The report correctly reflects the status and costs incurred over the month of April.
Tasked activities have been affected by delays in the processing of Form 173 and in the transmittal of NRC materials described in Item 6.C. Based on cur May 26, 1988 conversation, I understand that you have received the m terials described in Item 6-C. NRC has also received Form 173 signed by DOE so FY88 funds have now bun cbligated. These developments should ocw allow work on tasked activities to proceed.
The monthly status re: ort also identifies a need to reset the schedule for the deliverables due to t;e above delays. We reccgnize this need and icok forward to negotiating these changes with ycu in June.
As previously reported, E. L. Emerson, the former principal investigator (PI),
has been transferred within Sandia and you are currently in the process of assigning a new Pl. We look forward to the selection of this individual.
