NRC letter to S. A. White dated May 20, 1988, "System Quality Evaluation Inspection" 2.

TVA letter to NRC dated March 31, 1988, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) - Unit 1 Restart Plan" In accordance with reference 1, the following is the status of the Unit I restart work required by the NRC to be completed in order to begin the single system quality evaluation (SSQE) inspection.

1.

All phase 1 walkdowns are required to be complete.

The Design Baseline and Verification Program (DBVP) phase I walkdowns have been completed.

2.

The review by Engineering Assurance is required to be complete.

The Engineering Assurance review of DBVP phase 1 has been completed, and all items requiring corrective action have been identified.

3.

An average of 75 percent of the work to be completed before unit I restart is required to be complete.

The progress made on the work required for restart of unit I will support the SSQE inspection.
