DRAFT POLICY AND GUIDANCE DIRECTIVE PG 83-2, REVISION 1, SUPPLEMENT 1, " RENEWAL OF MATERIAL LICENSES"
' This is to solicit your comments on the draft policy and guidance directive PG 83-2, Revision 1, Supplement 1,~ " Renewal of Material Licenses" (PG 83-2). The Division of industrial and Medical Nuclear Safety is revising its materials (excluding fuel cycle) licensing renewal review guidance and has invited Division of Waste Management's comments. The purpose of the revision to PG 83-2 is to focus resources on applications from licensees whose performance indicates potential programmatic weaknesses and on program areas that have undergone major changes that could affect radiation safety.
Please review the attached subject document and provide your comments by June 15,1999.
