Dear Secretary:

I em writing to let you know that as an informed citizen (c:cployee of Seabrook Station) I wholly support the proposed new rule that clarifies the requirements new nuclear power plants must meet before low-power testing is conducted.

If Massachusetts continues to be successful in stopping the progress at Saabrook Station other states are sure to follow s" ' :.

We have a definate need for dependable power both c

ently (to minimize Mid-East oil dependency) and in the f.

ire (to enhance our economic future by assuring power for b

' ness growth).

This should be a decision based on cold h e.

.a facts, not political aspirations.

l The entire licensing process should be the NRC's

[

rs ?onsibility, making it more precise and consistent can or / enhance it's effectiveness.
