MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME We cannot meet the Board's order of May 22, 1986 that set June 6, 1986 as the deadline for objections to the NRR and OI reports and proposal of additional witnesses and documents. The NRR report was not served to us on May 16 as was represented to the Beard. The report was postmarked May 19 and arrived on May 24
~
The intervening two weeks are not sufficient time for an adequate review by us of the NRR report due to its volume and our prior coccitments.
Further, we have not received the OI report.
Therefore, we motion for any extension of time until three weeks after service of the 01 report for responses of the parties to both reports.
We attempted to reach the Chairman of the Board by telephone today. We will notify each party by telephone tomorrow of this motion. The Board expects that the OI report will be served shortly. The task of responding individually to each of the NRC investigation reports is burdensome, and, it would appear, unnecessarily so.
R]espectfully submitted, 1
