REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRONIC TRANSMITTERS (LICENSE CONDITION 9)

HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 Pursuant to our letter dated March 26, 1986 (C.A. McNeill, PSE&G to E. Adensam, NRC), fifty-three (53) Tobar Model 32 Series 2 transmitters have been replaced with Rosemount Model 1153B transmitters. Seven Rosemount 1153B transmitters were installed as replacements for Tobar transmitters in the Safety Auxiliarios Cooling System and the Residual Heat Removal System prior to fuel load. The balance, or forty-six of the Tobar transmitters, have been replaced with Rosemount 1153B transmitters in support of initial criticality at Hope Creek and in fulfullment of Hope Creek Generating Station Safety Evaluation Report, Supplement No. 5, License Condition 9.

The attached Addendum to the Environmental Qualification Summary Report, Revision 4, reflects thesc transmitter replacements. These revised sheets should be inserted in place of the existing sheets within the HCGS EQ Summary Report, Revision 4. The Hope Creek FSAR will be revised to reflect this information.
