Dear Mr. Keppler:
The enclosed Revision 12 to the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant MASP is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.34 (c) and (d), 50.54 (p) and Part 73.
This revision made no changes that would decrease the effectiveness of the plan. An explanation of the detail of revision is attached.
This revision was initiated as a result of AEPSC QA Audit No. 117. A corrective action requirement was, "to coordinate a review and revision process of the MASP with the Cook Plant Security Staff and submit changes to the NRC."
In addition, a response to a NRC concern, Compensatory Measures (IP 81064), Inspection Report 50-315/85023(DRSS); 50-316/85023(DRSS), was sent to you on October 2, 1985 (AEP:NRC:0846N).
The response stated that, "Necessary chaar,es will be made to section 3.1.3 of the MASP along with planned changes resulting from the review of and update to the MASP, which is now in progress.
It is anticipated that these changes to the MASP will be completed by March 31, 1986."
In accordance with 10 CFR 73.21, it is requested that the subject transmittal be withheld from public disclosure and not placed in the Public Document Room.
