The following is an edited excerpt of an E-mail received from Andrea Lee of EMCB on 11/2/98:
The reactor vessel integrity d'atabase (RVID), which performs integrity calculations for all of the RPV beltline materials in order to determine the limiting material, was recently updated. As a result, we would like to discuss the following.with the licensee:
The RVID calculations show that plate R1806-1 may be the limiting material (highest RTpts) and not plate R1808-3 as reported by the licensee.
A June 5,1998 surveillance report shows that the chemistry factor calculated from surveillance data for plate R1808-3 may have only used the transversely oriented plate surveillance data and not the full set of data which includes the longitudinally oriented data. The result of the calculations using all of the data (shown on page 4 of 4) may result in a higher RTpts value. The data used for the beltline plates (other than R1808-3) are from the licensee's November 20, 1995 response to GL 92-01, Rev.1, Supp.1.
We need to have the licensee confirm the information on the docket.
