1 NOTE TO:
THOSE ON ATTACHED LIST M 1 0 1988 FROM:
Robert E. Browning, Director Division of High-Level Waste Management, NMSS
SUBJECT:
BRIEFING ON ASSIGNMENTS FOR POTENTIAL RULEMAKINGS WITHIN THE HLWM PROGRAM Based on factors developed by DHLWM, 0GC, and RES, we have identified a number of potent;al rulemakings (Enclosure 1) needed to resolve uncertainties in the repository program. We have recently briefed the EDO on these potential rulemaki,gs and committed to develop schedules and milestones for each of these rulemakings by mid-July. As indicated on the enclosure a lead individual has been assigned to each rulemaking.
A briefing will be held at WFN, in room 4-B-11, at 2:00 p.m., June 14, 1988 (See Agenda Enclosure 2) to lay out the activities that need to be accomplished to scope out and develop a schedule for each rulemaking by mid-July.
