Enclosed is an application for a ik ense (XSOU8766), recently received by the Nuclear I
Regulatory Commission, for the export of 310.0 kilograms of natural uranium and 160.0 kilograms of thorium to China for recovery of the tantalum for production of tantalum powder and wire for sale to USA and other tantalum capacitor manufactures.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views regarding the proposed export.
Please note that the materialis of Canadian origin.
