This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. R. L. Cilimberg, R. P. McIntyre, D. J. King and J. F. Cook of this office on February 24-28, 1986, of your facility at Lynchburg, Virginia and to the discussions of our findings with Mr. R. A. Alto and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The purpose of this inspection was to review fabrication and inspection activities and Quality Assurance (QA) program implementation for fuel manufacturing. Areas l
examined during the inspection included a review of procurement control of purchased products and services, suppliei audits, and inspection and testing and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. The inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. Within the scope of this inspec-tion, we found no instance where you failed to meet NRC requirements.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
