Changes to the Technical Specifications Bases Gentlemen:
Entergy is hereby requesting the attached changes to the Waterford 3 Technical Specifications Bases be issued. These changes have been evaluated pursuant to l
10CFR50.59 and have been determined to not involve an unreviewed safety l
question. These changes have been reviewed and approved by the Plant Operations Review Committee. The proposed changes affect the following TS Bases:
Bases B 3/4.3.1 & 3/4.3.2 Page B 3/4 3 - 1b This Bases change clarifies the operability of reactor trip switchgear with regard to the open or racked out position to allow on-line maintenance.
Bases B 3/4.6.3 Page B 3/4 6 - 4 & 4a This Bases change provides clarifying information for containment penetrations with multiple flow paths. Note that page 4a is included with no changes, except due to text over-flow from the page with the actual change.
Bases B 3/4.7.1.2 Page B 3/4 7 - 2 This Bases change corrects emergency feedwater flow rate and pressure to j
the values assumed in the current Waterford 3 analysis.
