[External_Sender] Transport & storage of spent nuclear fuel I am opposed to the proposed long term interim nuclear storage facility in Lea County, New Mexico. I reside in Las Cruces, New Mexico & the train transport of this nuclear waste, will most likely pass by this growing urban area, as well as many other communities, on its long journey from the eastern part of the country. If there should be an accident or derailment anywhere along the route, some of this dangerous material might inadvertently contaminate the surrounding environment. It seems a risky venture to transport highly radioactive material on a regular basis, across the country, in order to "temporarily" place it in a facility far away. There is no guarantee this material would be safe from sabotage along the way, some rogue group obtaining some of this material. Human error is always a concern & taking this material from its place of origin, where it is being safely contained, in order to move it away from that locality, to another locality, from where it will eventually have to be moved yet again, makes no sense, &

puts a great swath of country at risk. Thank You, Gloria L Hacker
