Dear Ms. Chen:

By letter dated March 6, 2020 [1 ], NRC staff requested additional information (RAis) needed to complete their detailed technical review of HI-STORM 100 Amendment 15 to the Certificate of Compliance No. 1014. Holtec provided responses for several of the RAis on April 28, 2020 and stated that the response to RAI 4-9 would be provided by June 22, 2020. This letter submits the response to RAI 4-9 and supplemental information to the response to RAI 8-1. to this letter contains the response to RAI 4-9 and supplemental information to RAI 8-1 in a proprietary version. Attachment 2 contains the response in a non-proprietary version. provides the affected FSAR changed pages, with the changes specific to RAI 4-9 response highlighted in yellow. Attachments 4 and 5 contain the technical information used to support the response to RAI 4-9. Holtec considers information in Attachments I, 4 and 5 to be proprietary information; therefore, Attachment 6 to this letter is an affidavit prepared in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 requesting that Attachments I, 4 and 5 be withheld from public disclosure.
