ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER FOR NOTICE OF VIOLATION EA-20-064
Dear Mr. Lackinger:
On June 11, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited IMS Systems, Inc., for the failure to notify the NRC at least 7 days in advance of an import shipment of one Category 2 quantity of Cesium-137, as required by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Section 110.50(c)(4).
The Notice of Violation required you to respond, in writing, within 30 days (NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20129J868). You responded by letter dated June 16, 2020, ADAMS Accession No. ML20169A360.
We have reviewed the information provided in response to the Notice of Violation and have concluded that your completed and proposed actions meet the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS, which is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://
www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
