(Granting Hearing Request)
On October 16, L998, Michel A. Philippon timely filed a request for a hear ing challenging the NRC Staf f's denial of his l
senior reactor operator license application. Thereafter, on November 6, 1998, the Staff filed an answer to Mr. Philippon's hearing request stating that it does not object to the request for a hearing ~.
Uponiconsideration of Mr. Philippon's hearing request and the Staff's answer, the request for a hearing is granted.
On or before December 14, 1998, the Staff shall file the hearing file in the proceeding. Additionally, the Staff shall file a pleading on or before November 23, 1998, providing its l
best estimate of the length (in pages) of the hearing file.
