Dear Sir:
The District hereby submits Supplement 2 to Proposed Amendment No.159, Revision 0.
Supplement 2 incorporates Supplement 1, makes minor corrections to Table 3.5.5-1 Accident Monitoring Instrumentation Items 5 and 14 and Table 4.1-1 Items 65 and 92, and adds a second note to Table 4.1-1 Item 80.
Clarification of Table 4.1-1 Item 80 was required to accommodate the monthly channel checks during plant conditions requiring forced reactor coolant flow.
Under forced flow co,1ditions, the hot leg level instruments do not provide any meaningful readings; therefore, under these plant conditions only the instrument channel availability need be demonstrated.
Because of several recently issued amendments, the text and pagination of the pages affected by Proposed Amendment No.159 has changed and are resubmitted based on Amendment No. 98 of the existing Technical Specification. Attachment I is the replacement Technical Specification pages and Attachment II is the list of affected pages.
The Significant Hazards Consideration in the District's December 23, 1987 submittal of Propcsed Amendment No.159, Revision 0, is not changed by this supplement.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1), the Radiological Health Branch of the California State Department of Health Services has been informed of this proposed amendment by mailed copy of this submittal.
Since this is a supplement to Proposed Amendment N 159, no additional license fees are requirea.
