Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Inspection Report 84-02 Gentlemen:
Inspection Report 84-02 forwarded a Notice of Violation concerning the lack of controls for the Inservice Inspection Ten Year Plan for Beaver Valley Unit 1.
In the April 12, 1984 reply to this violation (84-02-01), a Plan of Action was presented which culminated in a submittal of a controlled and approved ISI Ten Year Plan.
Your letter of November 9, 1984 granted our request for an extension for the submittal of the Ten Year Plan to the beginning of the Fifth Refueling Outage.
,This letter transmits the revised Inservice Inspection Ten Year Plan.
The Ten Year Plan has been written by Duquesne Light Company and issued as the third revision to the first interval inspection plan. The plan has been approved in accordance with OLC, ISID procedure A2.4,
" Preparation and Revision of Inspection Programs" and issued as a controlled document in accordance with procedure A3.1, " Distribution of Controlled Documents".
i Duquesno Light Company now uses controlled drawings (8700-ISI series) to plan, l
perform and control the inspection activities.
In order to facilitate this l
revision, however, the Westinghouse generated sketches have been temporarily maintained in the plan and the inspection schedules maintained in the Westinghouse l
nomenclature.
A controlled cross-reference is maintained to facilitate conversion
(
between the numbering systems (see TYPP-1 section 5.0).
The inspectica schedules will be converted to the numbering system used on the DLC 8700-ISI series drawings l
in the next revision of the Plan.
i This completes our response to Violation 84-02-01.
If you have any questions concerning this response, please contact my office.
