During the week of September 12, 1988, the NRC administered examinations to two
employees :f your Laboratory who had applied for licenses co oserate the
Massachusetts Irstitute of Technology Reactor (MITR-!!) in Cam) ridge,
Massachusetts. Based on the results of these examinations, both were granted
licenses. Details cf the examinations are described in the NRC Region I
Examination Report which is enclosed with this letter.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Connission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
